For states that have unlocked the S1 ,  these combinations will be helpful. Replacement colored in green is my preference .

1). For Footmen

These combinations can are 

1). Judge + Demon Spear + Iron Hand

2). Judge + Chungmugong + Iron Hand

Replacement for Judge = Orochi/ North Rage

Replacement for Iron Hand = Hurricane/ Heavens Justice

Replacement for Middle Row = Dual blade / Rough Rider / Yamaraja

2). For Archers

These combinations can are 

1). Barnes + Thomas + Zorro

2). Adam  + Thomas + Zorro

Replacement for Thomas = Dual blade / Rough Rider / Yamaraja

Replacement for Zorro = Hurricane/ Heavens Justice

Replacement for adam/barnes = Orochi/ North Rage

3). For Cavalry

For Pure S1 cavalry :

Gavinnus/Elizabeth  + Phillip

Replacement for front row : North Rage / Orochi 

Replacement for middle row : ROGUE / Dual Blade / Rough Rider / Yamaraja
